"We just spent 10 days here, with our family of five (two couples, one 8 year old). The house is beautiful, the bedrooms and bathrooms spacious and plush, views everywhere, kitchen tricked out with all the gadgets. The small number of questions we had were quickly responded to and the house manager and concierge both were very helpful, patient and informative. The house manager even brought over a yoga mat and some pool floats after meeting us. The pool, though unheated, was great, no cooler than the ocean. The hot tub is huge and gets nice and hot. The only thing I'd say could be done "better" is that the barbeque grill is a showing it's age, needs to be lit by hand and is in a somewhat awkward location where it's easy step off the patio (as one of us did). This is a small quibble though. Stay here if it's the right size for your group. You won't be sorry."

"We love Kalihiwai Bay Estate. We've stayed several times. Great north shore location close to Kilauea town and near one of the best local beaches, Kalihiwai. This spot is a rainbow machine, and the views of the Bay are wonderful. The whole house is oriented around the great views. Very nicely and exhaustively outfit kitchen for folks who enjoy cooking and the dining lanai is simply wonderful. The main lanai is the best place to relax. Pool is refreshing and surrounded by gorgeous orchids. The yard boasts tons of fruit trees for juice-your-own concoctions. Nice privacy between the 3 main bedroom suites, all with en suite baths. There is the most amazing huge deep hot tub. A few times we've visited it has been a little finicky and the hot tub maintenance guy has had to come fix it but ownership is responsive and solves problems quickly and their hot tub maintenance guy is a gem."
