0 min read

SUMMARY

Kauaʻi is welcoming guests again, and Pure Kauaʻi is ready to welcome you back. After Hurricane Lowell, recovery continues in parts of the island, but familiar rhythms are returning—local businesses are reopening, communities are moving forward, and the Kauaʻi you love is still here. Our team has personally checked our homes, worked closely with homeowners and local teams, and taken care of the details that matter. When you're ready to return, come with patience, respect and aloha. We'll be here to help you experience Kauaʻi thoughtfully, support the people who call this island home, and simply arrive knowing you're taken care of.

A note from the Pure Kauaʻi team about our island, our homes, supporting local, and returning to Kauaʻi with aloha.

We know many of you have been watching from afar, wondering how Kauaʻi is doing — and when it will feel right to come back and travel to Kauai.

There is still recovery happening after Hurricane Lowell, and some places need more time. But Kauaʻi is welcoming guests again, and we are, too.

And for those of you who have reached out to ask us directly:

Yes, our Pure Kauaʻi homes are ready to book.

Our team has been on the ground, going through our homes one by one and taking care of every detail. We’re working closely with our homeowners and local teams to make sure each home is not simply open, but truly ready for our guests.

And the Kauaʻi you love is still here.

What we’re seeing around the island

There is still work happening across Kauaʻi. Some communities were impacted more than others, and there are places that need continued time, patience and space. For the latest effort visit the official Kauai Recovers website.

But every day, we’re also seeing more of the familiar rhythms of Kauaʻi return.

Kauai County Mayor Derek Kawakami announced that Kauai is welcoming visitors back following recovery efforts from Hurricane Lowell.

Shops and restaurants are reopening their doors. Farmers markets are coming back to life. Local businesses are welcoming people again.

The ocean is finding its rhythm. Sea turtles are making their way back to the beach.

And the sunsets?

They never went anywhere.

There is still work to be done. But there is also so much of Kauaʻi ready to welcome you back.

What we’re seeing in our homes

This part is personal for us.

Twenty-five years ago, Pure Kauaʻi began before today’s booking platforms existed. At its heart was something pretty simple: caring for homes on the North Shore and taking care of the people staying in them.

A lot has changed in 25 years.

That hasn’t.

Following the storm, our team went back to what we’ve always done.

We showed up.

We walked the properties. We checked the grounds. We looked closely at what needed attention. We worked with our homeowners and the local teams who help us care for these homes every day.

For us, reopening wasn’t about changing a home’s status back to available.

It was about getting it right.

Not just ready enough to book.

Ready enough for us to welcome you back.

Because when you arrive at your Pure Kauaʻi home, we want you to open the door, put your bags down, take in the view and know that everything has been taken care of.

That level of care has been part of Pure Kauaʻi for 25 years.

Right now, it means a little more.
